Measuring guide for roman, roller and venetian blinds

All window blinds are ready-made in standard sizes so measuring for your window is very simple. With the exception of roman blinds, all blinds from Beautiful Blinds can be cut to fit exactly.

All sizes are in centimetres with the width followed by the drop.

Outside the window recess
This is the easiest way to fit your new blind if curtains will not be used on the window.
Width: Simply measure the width of the window and purchase the next largest blind up from this size.
Drop: All blinds have a standard drop so providing the drop of the blind is more than the window the blind can be fitted and trimmed if required.

Inside the window recess
If you wish to use curtains in conjunction with the blind or you just prefer your blind on the inside of the recess.
Width: Measure the inside of the recess and purchase the next largest blind up from this size. When you fit your new blind it can easily be trimmed to fit your exact window size.
Drop: as with blinds that are fitted outside the window recess all blinds have a standard drop so providing the drop of the blind is more than the window, the blind can be fitted and trimmed if required.

Curtain Width
Please measure the length of your curtain pole or curtain track. The following table shows the size of curtain we recommend:

Please note that the measurements work on the basis that the curtain tape is pulled up to half the original width.

Curtain Drop
Once you have decided upon the width of curtain you require. You need to decide on the length of your curtains. There are three particular styles you may want to consider.

Curtains are avaliable in the following standard drops:

• 137 cm (54")
• 183 cm (72")
• 228 cm (90")
