How do I measure for my blinds?
Depending on which blind you are after will determine how you would measure up.  In the main you need to decide whether you would like to fit your blind inside or outside of your window recess and then follow our helpful Measuring Guidelines.  If you are measuring for a Perfect Fit Blind or a Roof Blind/Skylight Blind then still head for our Measuring Guidelines page but scroll down to the Perfect Fit Blind Measuring Guidelines or the Roof Blind Measuring Guidelines a bit further down the page.  If you are still unsure please get in touch with our helpful Great Blinds team by calling 0844 880 2084.

What type of blind would suit my window?
This really is up to you, but we have put together a brief synopsis of each blind type, how they work and the benefits to this style of blind to help you decide. How can I make my bedroom as dark as possible?
The best solution to get your bedroom (or any room for that matter) as dark as possible is to opt for a blackout blind.  Most of our blind types are available as blackout blinds with one of the most effect being a Perfect Fit Blackout Roller Blind.  Have a look at all of the blackout fabrics we have available by clicking here or find out more about blackout blinds on our Blackout Blind informational page

How do I order my blind?
Simply process you order with us online by following the easy steps.  Firstly entering your size measurements and then by building your blind as you wish. After you have registered your details you can proceed to the checkout where you can pay using Paypal or a debit or credit card.  Currently we do not accept American Express.

How do I pay for my blind?
Currently we accept payment via credit card, debit card and also by Paypal.  Our website is SSL secure and we used SagePay as our payment gateway so we do not hold or save any of your payment details.

When can I order my blind?
You can order your blind at any time when you order with Great Blinds online but if you do need to speak to one of our friendly team you will need to contact us between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (except for public holidays).

Do you offer free samples?
Yes we do and we recommend that this free sample request is taken up.  Just add the samples you would like to seeto your basket and process through to checkout.  The samples are free despite having to process your order through the checkout.  We need you to do this to ensure we have the correct samples and the right contact details for you so we can send them through!  Whilst we do our utmost to ensure that the images are representative of the fabrics we cannot account for differences in monitors or devices.  Because most of our products are made to measure products, once the blind has been made specifically for your home, providing there is not fault to the mechanism then the blind is non-returnable, so please make sure you have chosen the best fabric for you! 

How will my blinds arrive?
We use a reputable national courier on a next working day service.  The blinds will need to be signed for so it is important that someone is available to receive the delivery.  Deliveries will occur Monday to Friday usually between 7.30am and 5.30pm but we can deliver to an alternative address for you, namely a work address or a friend's address - however, we will need to have this information at the time that you make your purchase.

Can I change my order once I have paid for it?
Because most of our blinds are made to measure, once the order has been received and logged this will then be pushed to the next stage in the process which is through to production.  Changes can be implemented before the production stage but this is usually less than 24 hours and even then there are no guarantees that we can effect a change.  If you have realised you have made a mistake or would like to try and alter your order then you must get in touch with us as quickly as possible so we have the best chance of helping resolve your problem for you.

Are your blinds safe for children?
For years now we have been manufacturing and supplying blinds which come with child safety cleats and devices to keep controls and cords neat and away from inquisitive hands, but since the introduction of the new Child Safety Regulations in April 2014 this has become a feature across all blinds in all ranges, with some blinds incorporating breakaway devices in to some models.  If you are particularly concerned about purchasing a blind which is Safe By Design then there are several products which are cord free such as the Perfect Fit Roller Blind and the Perfect Fit Venetian Blind.  These blinds are safe by design by nature of the fact that there are no cords for the controls and the blinds themselves are raised and lowered using a neat tab system.
